For Participants

Are you 15-24 year old? A tourism, hospitality, or restaurant student or graduated unemployed?

The Tour4Youth program offers you a chance to gain personal growth and international experiences!

  • Young people aged 15-24
    • Under 24 when starting the program (can turn 25 during the program)
  • Studying tourism, hospitality, or restaurant sectors from secondary or higher VET institutions
    • Vocational institutes and universities of applied sciences
  • Graduated unemployed persons in tourism, hospitality, or restaurant sectors from secondary or higher VET institutions
    • Country-specific legislation is applied
  • Young people who would like to work in tourism sector, but have a different educational background
  • At the risk of unemployment or dropping / dropped out of studies
  • Residing in the programme area (more details and a map about the programme area)
    • Excluding the countries’ capitals as places of residence
  • The program is free
  • Gaining career management skills and knowledge
  • Exceptional opportunities for international experiences
  • Up-to-date CVs
  • A job application template
  • Two personal coaching sessions (2×2 hours)

Matchmaking to connect hospitality job seekers with vacancies & active job-seeking

3. GO!
4-8 weeks’ personally and financially supported work schemes with a matched organisation in tourism, hospitality, or restaurant sector locally or internationally in Estonia, Finland, or Latvia

Note! Exceptions to the above might occur due to country-specific legislation, regulations, permits, or other rules set by other entities than the Tour4Youth project. Rules for funding are applied.

Are you looking for new, young employees? Do you operate in the tourism, hospitality or restaurant sector?

The Tour4Youth programme allows you to participate in recruiting events and meet young skilled professionals for traineeships and jobs in your workplace!

  • Possibility to find a gem or gems to the organization

  • Access to Finnish, Latvian, and Estonian labour market
  • Access to workforce in a sector of labour shortages
  • Online, face-to-face, and personal service provided; personalised matchmaking
  • Compensation for the participant’s costs is provided (rules apply, please contact the project manager)
  • Offering quality possibilities for young students or unemployed in the field of hospitality
  • Taking part in matchmaking events, both online and face-to-face
  • Taking on a young person for 4-8 weeks (or longer of course)
  • Introduces the employee to the work, supports, gives feedback, and a work certificate

career Co-operation

For Educational Institutions

Educational institutions are welcome to utilise the provided free Career management in tourism, hospitality, and restaurant sector online course.

The course benefits not only the dedicated individuals in these sectors but also others. The content of the course can be applied to other sectors as well, regardless of the examples being from the specific fields. The course is built in English, and thus, it can be used to improve the English skills of participants.

The course provides knowledge about building self-awareness, analysis of opportunities, planning employment and career, and taking action to achieve a job! The course is built around practical learning like tests, videos, podcasts, texts, and quizzes. Additional information is provided as well. After completing each section (4), a participant gains a skills badge on the topic. By completing the course, the participant has studied 5 ECTS credits and earned a certificate to show their improved skills. The course supports EQF levels 4-6 in advancing careers towards sustainable, quality careers.
